SEND YOUR TRANSCRIPTS

Please submit your official transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended. Transcripts should be sent to LBC directly from the degree-granting institution(s) via email to admissions@lbc.edu or mailed (in a sealed envelope) to: Admissions, Lancaster Bible College, 901 Eden Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.

Program Specific Requirements for Admission

Grade Point Average (GPA) requirements

  • PhD applicants must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
  • DMin applicants must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 in previous MDiv degree or a 3.2 GPA in an accredited ministry-related or Bible/Theology master’s degree.
  • EdD applicants must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Additional requirements for applicants

  • DMin applicants who do not hold an MDiv degree must complete additional admission requirements such as an appeal letter and ministry experience. Details will be provided upon application.
  • Additional application pieces might be requested by the Program Director, if necessary.

Once you submit your application, a member of our admissions team will contact you with next steps. As part of your admissions portfolio, you’ll be asked to provide the following:


All Applicants Must Submit:

  • One Professional Reference
    Provide contact information for a professional reference.
  • A Written Submission
    Requirements vary by program:

    • PhD or DMin
      Submit a previously written research paper (15 pages), completed at the master’s level.
    • Applicants to EdD
      1. Submit a current résumé or CV.
      2. Submit a 750–1,000 word Statement of Purpose describing:
      – Your leadership experience
      – Your current role in education
      – Your purpose for pursuing an EdD in Educational Leadership

FINAL STEP – Personal Interview

Once your admissions portfolio is complete, you may be invited to a personal interview with our staff or program director. Interviews are conducted either in person or via video conference.

Pay Your Admission Deposit Fee

Accepted students need to pay this deposit fee before being registered and receiving their LBC login credentials.

  • $500 nonrefundable deposit
  • This deposit will go towards the tuition of the first semester
  • Paying the deposit is required in order to be registered for classes
