All incoming on-campus undergraduate students must complete ONE placement option. Placement helps ensure you are enrolled in courses that match your current skill level and set you up for academic success.
If you already submitted a placement option during the application process, you do not need to submit it again. Questions? Contact your admissions counselor.
Placement Options
Complete one of the following:
Default Placement Policy:
Students who do not complete a placement option will be enrolled in the following non-credit remedial courses:
LAN 060 – Writing Fundamentals Introduction to College Reading and Writing
MAT 060 – Basic Math Skills
These courses build readiness for college-level work but do not count toward graduation. Students must successfully complete them before advancing to credit-bearing writing and math courses.
The next step will be to register your housing status with Student Affairs on our Star Rez Housing Application. This application is for all commuters and residents to designate your housing status. Please reference the Star Rez housing page linked below for dates regarding each step of the housing process. Please set a calendar reminder for these dates and use your LBC login credentials to fill out the application. Questions can be directed to residencelife@lbc.edu.
All full-time undergraduate students are required to have their Physical Examination, Vaccination Record and Health Record on file in the Student Wellness Center. Forms must be completed prior to arriving to campus.
The nurse will review your completed paperwork and reach out if she has any questions. If you need to speak to the nurse, email nurse@lbc.edu or call 717.560.8215.

In accordance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 and the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendment of 1989, the policy on illegal drugs and alcohol is as follows:
1. Standard of Conduct and College Sanctions. LBC prohibits the unlawful possession, use or distribution of drugs and alcohol
by faculty, staff and students on College property or as any part of College
activities.
2. Legal Sanctions. Municipal, state and federal laws strictly outline penalties – including fines and jail terms – for the illegal use, possession or distribution of alcohol and drugs.
3. Health Risks. The use of illicit drugs and the abuse of alcohol present health risks such as addiction, acute and chronic illness and death. Other risks associated with alcohol and drug use include impaired learning, violence, injuries, accidents, drunk driving, acquaintance rape, unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.
4. Treatment Programs. Alcohol and drug information, referral, counseling, treatment and rehabilitation programs are available to faculty, staff and students through a variety of on and off campus resources. Some of these services and programs are without charge; others are covered by insurance or based on ability to pay.
Faculty, staff and students with questions, concerns or problems related to the use of illicit drugs or the abuse of alcohol are urged to take immediate advantage of the help that is available.
All members of the College community, however, must clearly understand that they jeopardize their education, their jobs, their health and their future if they unlawfully possess, use or distribute drugs or alcohol at LBC. Sanctions for such misconduct will be consistently enforced.
As you make final preparations, your final official high school or college transcript is required. If we do not receive a final official transcript prior to the start of the semester, your financial aid could be in jeopardy.
Methods for submitting Transcripts:
All students are automatically enrolled in Slingshot Choice, a subscription-based service available for all students that automatically delivers required course materials before your course begins. As a new student, you will be enrolled to rent books. If you would prefer to purchase your books, (new, used or digital), you may change your preferences by logging into the LBC Campus Store using your LBC email and password that was provided in your Let’s Get Started email. View a short video tutorial to learn how to change preferences, verify shipping address, receive tracking information and more. The cost of the books will be charged to your student account. Please reach out to Slingshot customer service at 888-392-2930 or at support@slingshotedu.com.
