What to Expect at an LBC Open House

Every Open House is designed to help you experience life at Lancaster Bible College and determine whether LBC is the right fit for you. While the schedule may vary slightly by event, here’s what a typical day looks like:


8:45 a.m. – Arrival & Check-In
Meet other prospective students and families, connect with the Admissions team, and get everything you need for the day.


9:10 a.m. – Worship & Chapel
Experience one of the ways faith is woven into daily life at LBC as you join our campus community for chapel.


10:15 a.m. – Campus Tour
Explore residence halls, classrooms,* and student spaces while learning what it’s like to live and study at LBC.


11:30 a.m. – Complimentary Lunch
Enjoy lunch in the dining hall with your family and spend time getting to know current students, faculty and other prospective students.


12:40 p.m. – Discover LBC
Learn what makes the LBC experience different and how you’ll be challenged academically, spiritually and professionally.


1:00 p.m. – Academic Department Sessions
Meet faculty from your area of interest, ask questions about majors, internships, career preparation and opportunities beyond the classroom.


1:45 p.m. – Scholarship Giveaway & Closing
Wrap up the day and stay for the scholarship giveaway. You might even be the winner!


2:00 p.m. – Financial Aid Session (Optional)
Meet with financial aid counselors, learn about scholarships and aid options, and get answers to your questions.

*Classroom visits are available when classes are in session.

Where to Go When You Arrive On Campus

Your Open House experience begins at the Good Shepherd Chapel. All events throughout the day will start and conclude there.

Convenient parking is available in the lots located on both sides of the Chapel. After parking, simply walk to the main entrance, where our team will be ready to welcome you and help you get checked in.

Leave with Your Admissions Decision

Eligible students can receive an instant admissions decision during Open House! Simply submit your application before or during your visit and bring your high school and any previous college transcripts. You could leave campus knowing your admissions decision.

Registration begins at 8:45 a.m., and the day wraps up around 2 p.m. We encourage you to stay for the entire event so you can get the full LBC experience. A complimentary lunch is provided for students and their guests.

Open house events are designed for prospective junior and senior high school students and their families, as well as transfer students.

Open House follows a planned schedule, so we ask that you arrive in time for registration and stay for the full event. We’d hate for you to miss any of the sessions, campus experiences, or opportunities to connect with our faculty, staff and students!

Absolutely! Parents and family members are encouraged to join us. They’ll have opportunities to learn more about LBC, ask questions and experience campus alongside their student.

No! You do not need to submit an application before Open House. You’ll have the opportunity to apply while you’re on campus. Better yet, if you bring an official or unofficial copy of your high school transcript, you may even receive an instant admissions decision during your visit!

Casual attire is perfect! You’ll be walking around campus, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

Yes! One of the highlights of Open House is meeting with faculty from your area of interest to learn more about majors, careers, and opportunities at LBC.
